Career Development Center (CDC)

The CDC at Northern Kentucky University supports alumni in their continuing career development. The center offers services to assist alumni through their career transitions: free one-on-one career counseling, walk-in resume & cover letter assistance from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, access to the CDC's recruiting database - Norse Recruiting, and opportunities to attend the career fairs that the career center sponsors.

Community Connections

We provide non-credit classes and workshops for individuals of all ages wishing to learn for fun, professional growth and/or personal enrichment.  Community Connections offers a wide variety of quality educational programs that meet the needs of individuals and organizations in northern Kentucky and the metropolitan region. 

Educational Outreach

Educational Outreach provides credit-bearing courses and programs of study away from NKU's Highland Heights campus.  Options include: The Program for Adult-Centered Education (PACE), a structured curriculum for the working adult student; ten fully online programs; extended campus locations in Williamstown and Covington; and a variety or programs offered at corporations and high schools throughout the region.

Elderhostel

Elderhostel is a nonprofit educational organization providing educational adventures all over the world to adults aged 55 and older.  NKU Elderhostel participants study college-level liberal arts and science courses taught by faculty and local experts in topics ranging from greater Cincinnati art and culture to Kentucky thoroughbred history and heritage.

Fifth Third Bank Entrepreneurship Institute

Whether it's a course on writing a business plan for a new company, guidance on how to have an entrepreneurial spirit in an existing job, or a certificate in entrepreneurship for college graduates, the Fifth Third Bank Entrepreneurship Institute has something for everyone regardless of age or stage of life.

Institute for Freedom Studies (IFS)

IFS works in partnership with private and public entities to provide public history education; Underground Railroad teacher training summer workshops; on request lectures, workshops, and seminars. IFS engages in outreach activities including service-learning initiatives, elementary and junior high mentoring, and Alternative Spring Break.

METS (Metropolitan Education and Training Services)

"Metropolitan Education and Training Services (METS) is a full-service, training, development and consulting extension of NKU.  With emphasis on technological skills enhancement and world-class management practices, METS brokers and bundles access to local, regional and worldwide resources for needs/performance assessment, training and development, quality assurance/program evaluation and general management consulting."
