Quotable

"The 'culture' of computing and engineering had set up hurdles that made it difficult, at best, for the Hispanic community to find an open and easy path into the field. Our goal then became to design an approach that was culturally-sensitive to hopefully improve the odds that Hispanic youth would move toward study and careers in the computing disciplines."
 - Dr. Gary Newell, chair of the Computer Science department, working with NKU's "Build It, Trust It, Use It" program

Making a Difference

Making a difference in the community, as well as the world. That's part of the role of a great university. That's what we're doing.

Whether it's helping Hispanic families build computers or developing new ways to merge information and technology, NKU's faculty is proving that our college is not only devloping great minds for the future, but also working to improve what that future will be.
