Mei Mei Burr, Assistant Chair, earned her Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Cincinnati in 1994. Dr. Burr worked as a school psychologist for five years before deciding to teach at the college level. Dr. Burr oversees the advising in the department and meets with transfer students and majors over 30 hours. In 2005, she won the universityıs Outstanding Academic Advisor Award. In addition to advising, she teaches Introduction to Psychology and Behavior Modification.

Dr. Hatchett advises Psychology Majors who have earned fewer than 30 credit hours. Heather Hatchett, Ph.D.

Heather Park Hatchett is a lecturer/advisor/freshman specialist. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2000 with a degree in clinical psychology. Dr. Hatchett teaches introduction to psychology as well as personality psychology. Her main research interest is men's underutilization of mental health services. Dr. Hatchett's secondary research interest is personality trait models and the relationbship between traits and attitudes towards psychotherapy.
