Why should you care? Anthony Anderson has proved his acting talents on many occasions, and this show proves to be no exception. Like he did with his edgy work on The Shield, he sizzles here. The show is rough, too, and will likely keep 24 fans happy until 24 returns -- although, really, 24 is much better.
Why should you worry? Can you say controversy? The show is a little hard to swallow, in that it belies what is really happening in New Orleans and in that it will likely be called opportunistic. And, let's face it, it is a little creepy to watch a show that reminds so many of such a recent tragedy. Vanished quickly did just that in this period with a stronger Prison Break. If the controversy can't launch the series, then without lead-in support it could very likely be D.O.A.
Bottom line? It'll probably get some fair sampling before dying a slow death. But, hey, it is a step up from Vanished!
