Why should you care? In terms of quality, it is the best new pilot of the season -- hands down! Beautifully filmed, carefully crafted, and well-acted, Pushing Daisies is the pilot other nets would kill for! The critics will certainly give this show its due.
Why should you worry? This show is quirky -- ABC already somehow made it with the offbeat Ugly Betty. Can they make lightning strike twice?
Bottom line? ABC seems to shine when it finds a slightly different hour long offering. While the critics will be salivating and message boards will be buzzing, the unique vision and colorful storytelling might make it tough for this one to go. We think it will work, though!
