Why should you care? The show is decently smart and crackling with an urgency reminiscent of early episodes of Quantum Leap.
Why should you worry? People will likely continue to compare it to Quantum Leap. Also, at first glance, it looks sort of boring and pretensious. But, hey, that worked for Heroes, right?
Bottom line? If people can find this show, and if NBC doesn't meddle, then it should do fine. It probably won't be as big as Heroes, but it will certainly do better than Studio 60 and The Black Donnellys. This is definitely a show that is lead-in dependent -- at least for now. It will take some patience for audiences to invest in this. Let's hope they do!
