1992 Health and happiness we wish you at this year's end Once again it's time for annual greetings to send. Just before Christmas, a car deal made us smile-- Our '92 Olds wagon's taken us many a mile. In March (Spring break) to Florida we flew To join relatives five & a cruise ship crew. Nausau days were a change from Ohio weather-- Palm trees, white sand, shells to gather. In May an elderhostel was our destination Killarney Provincial Park offered a splendid vacation. Georgian Bay scenery was spectacular as we hiked and canoed, Studied the area, the brain, ate great food. In June to Albany we headed for art/math Where Cliff even tried a stonecarver's path. A mathematatical surface he's made in alabaster And now one in marble he's planning to master. Moderator of Presbyterian Women's my new role; Maumee Valley's "my" area--pledging's one goal. PW synod gathering brought 400 to BGSU-- Information, inspiration--lots to do! Then off to Kentucky with the church mission trip For constructing, painting, saws made boards rip. The Clines reunited at Brown County in July With thirty seven present, how the days did fly! Most of the Long/Gedeons are involved in classes-- Studious people those lads and lasses! In school on all levels our folks are attending-- Some listening and others doing ear bending. Mindy & Mark are teaching and "did" summer studies Enjoying both, those long time ole buddies. Sammy's in pre-school, cliff's in kindergarten; While Tchapo first grade is startin'. Thad got his master's, Anna's near her GED Andy continues to work on a Ph.D. Cliff is planning to retire (part-time) in May (So we can travel and just loaf and play!). Kim and Steve a good year have had. Their youngsters' antics mostly make them glad. Quite a lot of travelling Steve's done through work. On squash courts and softball fields he continues to lurk. In July they acquired a doggie named Abby. Taking her for walks will prevent being flabby. They've just become owners of a spacious new van And enjoy frequent gettogethers with the Long & Wiley clan. Andy, Anna, Tchapo are still in Arizona heat Which, most of the time, they think is neat. To Ohio they came to beat the summertime heat, For the family reunion and with friends to meet. Cool and rainy they found it here-- Our greenest summer in many a year. Anna and Tchapo joined me in gardening fun, Enjoyed the zoo and Cedar Point in the sun. Thad finally finished his stint in grad school, So he bought a car he thinks is real cool. He drives the Saturn to his new job at BGSU-- Intramurals and sport clubs make free moments few. Some fun in Las Vegas he'll have for BG's bowl game, Colorado skiing with friends will surely bring the same. He's met a young woman who's quite the steady date; Five months with Debbie (currently in New York state). Thad's furnace quit same time as his Nova clutch failed. "This is getting expensive", he sorrowfully wailed. This month Mark & Mindy move into their house With a new inhabitant to join them (no, not a mouse). A baby! In Feb. we'll be grandparents again-- Til then Mindy keeps teaching, no longer thin. Math and fourth graders they've been teaching this year And as coaches, for their teams enthusiastically cheer. Best wishes to all at this glad Christmas season We hope that in all ways for you 'twill be pleasin'. We rejoice once again in the birth of the Savior, May the world be blessed with peaceful behavior.
