Declaring a World Language Major

Students interested in declaring a major in French, German, or Spanish should obtain an official Program Change/Declaration form from the Office of the Registrar (302 Administrative Center or on-line at http://registrar.nku.edu/index.php) and then make an appointment with the chair of the Department of World Languages and Literatures (501 Landrum Academic Center).  During the meeting with the chair, the requirements for the French. German, or Spanish major will be discussed, the Program Change/Declaration form will be signed, and the prospective major will be given orientation regarding the major requirements.  In addition, the French, German, or Spanish major will be assigned a faculty adviser in the department.
