| The cloud forest is also known as the "Elfin Forest". The plants are shorter, have smaller more delicate leaves, and mosses, bromeliads, orchids, ferns and other epiphytes cover every available tree trunk and rock. In contrast, some trees, such as Oaks and Cyprus are incredibly large. Many of the plant species in these higher elevations are similar to those found here in North America. oaks, blueberries, blackberries and cyprus are examples.
