Norse junior earns All-Region honors |

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Another day, another school record in the six-kilometer run for Tracy Carskadon. Carskadon set a Northern Kentucky University record in the six-kilometer run with a time of 22:44 and posted an 11th-place finish Saturday at the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional. Carskadon, a junior and a graduate of Oak Hills High School, earned All-Region honors for her effort and just missed qualifying for the NCAA nationals. Two weeks earlier, she set a Norse record in the six-kilometer run with a time of 22:45 at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships at A.J. Jolly Park. As a team, the NKU women posted a 17th-place finish in the 22-team field with a score of 468. In the mens 10-kilometer race, NKU posted an 11th-place finish with a score of 313. Greaham Niemer finished 40th with a time of 33:46, while teammate Keith Knapp was 45th in a time of 33:57. The Norse finished ahead of GLVC rivals Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Bellarmine University and the University of Indianapolis. |
