NKU TEAMS COMPETE AT DIVISION II REGIONALS

JOPLIN, Mo. - The Northern Kentucky University cross country teams both participated at the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regionals on Saturday at Joplin, Mo., at Missouri Southern State College.

The NKU men posted a 17th-place finish in the 10-kilometer race, and the Norse women were 18th in the six-kilometer event.

In the women’s race, NKU’s Tabatha Smith posted a 28th-place finish with a time of 23:37. Molly Petty was 92nd with a time of 25:10, and Emily Sand finished 93rd in a time of 25:11.

In the men’s race, the Norse’s Ryan Carskadon finished 57th in a time of 34:50. Kevin Alessandro posted a 79th-place finish with a time of 35:37, and Brian Alessandro was 95th in a time of 36:13.
