NKU EXTENDS WIN STREAK TO EIGHT

Lanham, Salisbury lead Norse past Indy

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Nicole Salisbury had 16 kills and a .481 hitting percentage Friday night as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team extended its win streak to eight with a 30-24, 30-28, 30-22 victory over the University of Indianapolis in Regents Hall.

Kristin Koralewski added 14 kills, 10 digs and a .458 hitting percentage as the Norse improved to 9-5 overall, 2-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. NKU rallied from a 26-21 deficit in the second game and closed with a 9-2 run to take control of the match.

Andrea Lanham finished with 45 assists, 10 digs and six kills for NKU, which will play host to Saint Joseph’s College at 2 p.m. Saturday. Cammi Welter added nine kills and six digs for the Norse, who hit .407 as a team and defeated Indianapolis (10-7 overall, 0-1 GLVC) for the first time since 2001.

A year ago, Indianapolis swept both matches from NKU.
