Norse hit .469 in three-game sweep |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Kristin Koralewski and Liz Holmes combined for 25 kills and a .632 hitting percentage Wednesday night as Northern Kentucky University posted a 30-15, 30-16, 30-7 win over Kentucky Wesleyan College in Regents Hall. Koralewski slammed down 13 kills in 23 attempts with no errors for a .565 hitting percentage, and she also added a team-leading five service aces. Koralewski, a senior outside hitter, now has 1,333 career kills at NKU. Holmes attacked at a .733 clip with 12 kills in 15 attempts with just one error. The freshman middle hitter also collected three aces and three blocks as NKU won its fifth straight match. Tristen Dye added eight kills and three aces for the Norse, who improved to 15-8 overall, 8-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Setter Andrea Lanham recorded 40 assists as NKU hit .469 for the match. Amber Timmons finished with 16 digs, while Megan Seegert had four kills and an .800 hitting percentage. Kentucky Wesleyan (1-21 overall, 0-11 GLVC) has now lost 41 straight GLVC matches. The Panthers have dropped 87 of their past 88 contests against conference opponents. NKU is 30-0 all-time against Kentucky Wesleyan. NKU will play host to Lewis University at 7 p.m. Friday. Prior to that match, Koralewski, Timmons and Maggie Pugh will be honored in Senior Night festivities. |
