Freshman setter named GLVC Player of the Week

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Andrea Lanham has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in volleyball.

Lanham, a freshman setter and a 2003 graduate of Notre Dame Academy, recorded 49 assists, 12 kills and a .571 hitting percentage Saturday as NKU defeated Saint Joseph’s College, 24-30, 30-23, 30-15, 30-24, in Regents Hall.

Lanham also added nine digs and keyed NKU’s game-ending 13-3 run with three kills. For the week, she averaged 13.43 assists per game, 2.71 digs, 2.57 kills and finished with a .621 hitting percentage in two matches.

In the Norse’s three-game win over the University of Indianapolis last Friday, Lanham collected 45 assists, 10 digs and a .750 hitting percentage. She is currently tied for the GLVC lead in assists per game (12.04 apg) and is No. 9 in the GLVC in service aces per game (0.45 sapg).
