NKU WINS TWICE ON TUESDAY

Norse defeat Grand Valley State, IPFW

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Northern Kentucky University women’s tennis team won twice on Tuesday, 5-4 over Grand Valley State University, and 9-0 over Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne.

NKU (6-0) won all three doubles matches against Grand Valley State (2-2) to pull out the victory. Jamie O’Hara and Claudia Ruehl were victorious in singles for the Norse.

O’Hara, the two-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year, posted a 6-1, 6-0 win over Dawn Caryer of IPFW to improve to 6-0 this season. She is now 27-0 all-time against GLVC opponents.

NKU has now won 31 consecutive matches against GLVC opponents, and the Norse have not lost to a conference team since the 1997 season.
