O’HARA NAMED GLVC’S BEST FOR 4TH TIME

NKU senior earns GLVC Player of the Year honor

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University women’s tennis player Jamie O’Hara has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year for the fourth consecutive season by the league coaches.

O’Hara, a senior from Paducah, Ky., finished with a 44-0 all-time record against GLVC foes. O’Hara was 11-1 overall and 9-0 in the GLVC this fall. During her four years of competing against GLVC opponents, O’Hara lost just one set in 44 matches.

Two other NKU players - senior Juliana Hite and sophomore Elizabeth Brunsman - also earned All-GLVC honors. Hite posted a 9-0 record at No. 2 singles this fall, and Brunsman finished with a 9-1 record, including a 9-0 slate against GLVC foes.

NKU captured its fourth consecutive GLVC title this fall, and the Norse will compete in the spring for an NCAA Division II Tournament berth.
