NKU DEFEATS KWC, 5-0, ON SUNDAY

WILDER, Ky. - Betsy Moore scored two goals and added an assist Sunday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan College, 5-0, at the Town & Country Sports Complex.

NKU improved to 16-2 overall, 9-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and the Norse finished in a tie for first place with Southern Illinois at Edwardsville in the GLVC standings. SIUE - which beat NKU, 3-1, earlier this season - will be the No. 1 seed in the GLVC Tournament and play host to the semifinals and finals on Nov. 6-7.

NKU is the No. 2 seed, and Southern Indiana - which tied Lewis, 0-0, on Sunday - is the No. 3 seed.

NKU will play host to a first-round GLVC Tournament match on Nov. 3 against seventh-seeded Missouri-St. Louis at the Town & Country Sports Complex. The winner will advance to the GLVC semifinals at Edwardsville, Ill.
