NKU WINS ANDERSON INVITATIONAL

Keyer-Scott takes medal with two-day total of 150

ANDERSON, S.C. - Kim Keyer-Scott captured medalist honors Tuesday with a two-day total of 150 as the Northern Kentucky University women’s golf team won the Anderson College Invitational with a final score of 648.

Keyer-Scott shot a 5-over-par 77 Tuesday to win the medal at the par-72 Brookstone Meadows course. She took first place by seven strokes over runner-ups Kristen Kyle and Paige Haverty, who tied with 157.

NKU’s Lindsay Newton finished with a 161 and tied for fourth place in the individual competition. The Norse’s Leslie Fossitt had a two-day total of 166 and posted a ninth-place finish.

NKU won the tournament by 35 strokes over second-place Nova Southeastern (683).

The NKU men posted a third-place finish with a two-day score of 614. North Greenville College captured first place with a score of 594.

NKU’s Brandon Parsons shot rounds of 75-74 to finish with a two-day total of 149, which was good for fourth place.
