NKU 5TH AFTER ONE ROUND

Camacho, Fossitt tied for 19th place after shooting 83

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Northern Kentucky University women’s golf team is in fifth place at the NCAA Division II National Championships after finishing the first round Wednesday with a total of 335.

NKU’s Diana Camacho and Leslie Fossitt both finished the first round tied for 19th place after shooting 83 at the par-73 Meadows Golf Club. The Norse’s Kim Keyer-Scott shot 84 and is in 21st place after one round.

Defending NCAA Division II national champion Florida Southern College is in first place after one round with a score of 316. The NCAA Division II National Championships is a 72-hole tournament which will continue through Saturday.
