Camacho wins medal as Norse advance to national finals |

PERRY PARK, Ky. - Diana Camacho shot a 2-over-par 74 Saturday and captured medalist honors with a two-day total of 147 as the Northern Kentucky University womens golf team won the NCAA Division II East Regional championship with a score of 623. Kim Keyer-Scott finished with a 155 as NKU captured its first-ever regional title at the Perry Park Country Club. The Norse finished 22 strokes ahead of second-place Grand Valley State University (645) to take the team title. NKUs Leslie Fossitt finished in sixth place with a 159, and the Norses Jennifer Irwin had a two-day total of 162 (8th place). Ferris State Universitys Kathryn Bobbie finished second with a score of 153, while Grand Valley State Universitys Melissa Sneller took fourth-place honors with a 157. NKU will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships, which will be held May 15-18 at Allendale, Mich. The NCAA Division II National Championships will be played at The Meadows Golf Club.
