KEYER-SCOTT TIED FOR FOURTH PLACE

NKU junior golfer enters final round nine strokes off the lead

LONGWOOD, Fla. - Northern Kentucky University women’s golfer Kim Keyer-Scott shot a 7-over-par 79 Friday and is tied for fourth place going into the last round of the NCAA Division II national finals.

Keyer-Scott has a three-round total of 229 (+13) at the par-72 Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes. Mariana De Biase of Rollins (Fla.) College is atop the leader board after three rounds with a total of 220.

Keyer-Scott recorded birdies on the 14th and 16th holes Friday to remain in the top five individually. She bogeyed the par-4 18th hole and finished with a 79 for the round.

Keyer-Scott is looking to become the first NKU golfer to win the individual national championship. A year ago, Keyer-Scott reached the national finals as an individual and posted a fifth-place finish in that event.

Keyer-Scott led after two rounds of the NCAA Division II national championships last spring at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., by shooting 74-77 during the first two days of that event. The national finals will conclude Saturday.
