LONGWOOD, Fla. - Northern Kentucky University womens golfer Kim Keyer-Scott shot a 6-over-par 78 Thursday and is in third place with a total of 150 (+6) after two rounds of the NCAA Division II national championships. Keyer-Scott, a junior who qualified for the national finals as an individual, entered the second round atop the leader board after shooting an even-par 72 Wednesday at the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes. Mariana De Biase of Rollins (Fla.) College shot a 72 Thursday and is now in first place with a two-day score of 146. Keyer-Scott is looking to become the first NKU golfer to win the individual national championship. The NCAA Division II national finals will continue through Saturday. A year ago, Keyer-Scott reached the national finals as an individual and posted a fifth-place finish in that event. Keyer-Scott led after two rounds of the NCAA Division II national championships last spring at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., by shooting 74-77 during the first two days of that event. |
