NKU’S KEYER-SCOTT WINS MEDAL

NKU teams capture first place at Bellarmine

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University women’s golfer Kim Keyer-Scott finished with a two-day total of 160 Tuesday to capture the medal at the Bellarmine Invitational and lead the Norse to the team title with a score of 692.

Keyer-Scott shot a 9-over-par 82 on Tuesday at the Persimmon Ridge Golf Course to finish 12 strokes ahead of runner-up Amanda Zehner (172) of the University of Southern Indiana. The University of Indianapolis finished second in the team competition with a score of 719.

NKU’s Leslie Fossitt placed fifth with a score of 175, and the Norse’s Nicole Weber was ninth with a 178.

The NKU men captured the team title with a two-day score of 634, six strokes better than second-place Bellarmine University (640). NKU’s Brandon Parsons finished runner-up in the individual competition with a two-day total of 156 after medalist Brett Hulse (156) of Indianapolis won a playoff with Parsons.

NKU’s Jerod Cahill placed third with a score of 158, while teammate Curtis Phelps was seventh with a 161.
