NKU KNOCKS OFF INDIANAPOLIS, 78-68

NKU captures No. 1 seed in GLVC Tournament

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Junior guard Michele Tuchfarber scored 20 points Tuesday night as the Northern Kentucky University women’s basketball team defeated the University of Indianapolis, 78-68, in Regents Hall.

The Norse improved to 20-2 overall, 15-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and NKU clinched the No. 1 seed in the upcoming GLVC Tournament with the win. It was also NKU’s 12th consecutive victory.

Sophomore forward Michelle Cottrell added 15 points for NKU, while teammates Bridget Flanagan and Kristin Polosky both scored 10 points. Flanagan also had four steals for the Norse.

The Norse are ranked No. 4 nationally in the WBCA Division II poll, and NKU is ranked No. 1 in the Great Lakes Region poll.
