Mobley scores 17 as Norse win 10th straight game
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Freshman forward Amy Mobley scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds Thursday night as the Northern Kentucky University womens basketball team defeated the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 93-63, at the Mark Twain Building.
NKU shot 73.9 percent from the field in the first half to build a 43-31 halftime lead. The Norse improved to 18-2 overall, 13-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
It was NKUs 10th consecutive victory, and the Norse are ranked No. 4 nationally in the WBCA Division II poll. NKU is ranked No. 1 in the Great Lakes Region poll.
Junior guard Michele Tuchfarber, junior forward Julie Cowens and freshman forward Bridget Flanagan all added 14 points for NKU, which will play at Quincy University at 2 p.m. this Saturday.
