Salisbury gets double-double as Norse post GLVC road win |

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Nicole Salisbury and Cammi Welter combined for 27 kills Friday night as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team defeated the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 30-26, 30-27, 30-28. Salisbury recorded 14 kills, 12 digs and a .303 hitting percentage as NKU improved to 5-6 overall, 3-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Welter added 13 kills and six digs for the Norse, who are now 13-0 all-time against Missouri-St. Louis (9-6 overall, 0-2 in the GLVC). Sara Taylor had 39 assists for NKU, which will play at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville at 2 p.m. Saturday. Maggie Pugh added nine kills and four blocks, and Kristin Koralewski finished with seven kills and eight digs. Since 1997, NKU is now 76-6 against GLVC opponents in regular-season competition. |
