NKU TRAVELS TO GEORGETOWN (Ky.)

Norse (4-4) also play host to Saint Joseph’s on Saturday

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University volleyball team will play a road match at Georgetown (Ky.) College at 7 p.m. Thursday night. NKU, now 4-4 and ranked No. 23 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll, will take on unbeaten Georgetown (5-0). The Norse will also return home and meet Saint Joseph’s College at 2 p.m. Saturday in Regents Hall. NKU senior outside hitter Bethany Gastright continues to lead the Norse in kills (108) and service aces (11). Sophomore outside hitter Cammi Welter is No. 2 on the team with 82 kills. Senior middle hitter Denise Barhorst leads NKU in total blocks with 22 (nine solo blocks), and senior middle hitter Julie Hathorn has 13 total blocks and nine service aces. Sophomore setter Sara Taylor leads the Norse with 293 assists.
