HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Cammi Welter, Nicole Salisbury and Kaliana Kalache each recorded 10 kills Saturday as the Northern Kentucky University volleyball team defeated West Virginia Wesleyan College, 30-16, 30-16, 30-12, at the Great Lakes Valley Conference/West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Crossover Tournament. Maggie Pugh led NKU with a .636 hitting percentage. The Norse finished with 11 service aces and a .481 hitting percentage. In the second match, NKU posted a 30-23, 30-25, 30-14 win against Fairmont State College. Kristin Koralewski and Pugh both recorded 14 kills, while Sara Taylor added 48 assists and 10 digs. Koralewski also led the Norse (11-7) with a .765 hitting percentage and five service aces. NKU finished the match with a .340 hitting percentage and 10 service aces. Cheyanne Stanley led Fairmont State with 12 kills. NKU finished 3-0 in the Crossover tournament.
