SCHUBELER EARNS GLVC HONOR

NKU senior center named GLVC co-Player of the Week

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Dana Schubeler has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference co-Player of the Week in women’s basketball. A 6-foot-3 senior center from Elizabethtown, Ky., Schubeler scored a career-high 25 points last Thursday as NKU defeated Saint Joseph’s College, 92-70, at Rensselaer, Ind. Schubeler made 12 of 16 shots from the field and also had five rebounds and three blocked shots in that game. She came back with a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds) Saturday as NKU defeated the University of Indianapolis, 56-52. For the week, Schubeler made 17 of 25 shots (68 percent), had 37 points (18.5 ppg) and 15 rebounds (7.5). She is a graduate of Elizabethtown High School. Schubeler shared the GLVC weekly honor with Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville’s Ruth Kipping.
