Lindeman, Breitholle named All-Region |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University softball players Angie Lindeman and Emily Breitholle have been named second team All-Great Lakes Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Lindeman, a freshman first baseman from North Canton, Ohio, led the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a .426 batting average this season. Lindeman also set NKU single-season records for hits (66) and runs batted in (39) in 2002. Lindeman, who was named the GLVC Freshman of the Year, also had 14 doubles and three home runs this season. Breitholle, a freshman pitcher and a graduate of Fairfield (Ohio) High School, posted a 20-5 record this season. Breitholle, the first 20-game winner in NKU history, also had a 1.31 earned run average. |
