SANDERS NAMED 1ST TEAM ALL-GLVC

Norse senior earns honor for second straight season

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Craig Sanders has been named first team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference by the league coaches.

Sanders, a senior guard and a graduate of McNicholas High School, finished his career as NKU’s all-time career scoring leader with 2,007 points. He averaged 20.3 points per game this season and made 82 of 210 three-point attempts as NKU posted a 19-8 record.

This marked the second straight season that Sanders earned first team All-GLVC honors.

NKU senior forward Carl Mitchell was named second team All-GLVC after averaging 13.0 ppg and a team-leading 6.8 rebounds. Mitchell also led the Norse with 53 blocked shots.

NKU junior guard Brenden Stowers (Simon Kenton High School) earned honorable mention accolades after averaging 13.2 ppg and leading the Norse in steals (59) and assists (89).
