SANDERS NAMED 1ST TEAM ALL-GLVC

Norse senior earns honor for second straight season

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Craig Sanders has been named first team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference by the league coaches. Sanders, a senior guard and a graduate of McNicholas High School, finished his career as NKU’s all-time career scoring leader with 2,007 points. He averaged 20.3 points per game this season and made 82 of 210 three-point attempts as NKU posted a 19-8 record. This marked the second straight season that Sanders earned first team All-GLVC honors. NKU senior forward Carl Mitchell was named second team All-GLVC after averaging 13.0 ppg and a team-leading 6.8 rebounds. Mitchell also led the Norse with 53 blocked shots.
