NKU DEFEATS MISSOURI-ROLLA, 3-1, ON SATURDAY

WILDER, Ky. - Amanda Trout, Kristen Noakes and Jill Johannigman all scored goals Saturday as the Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer team defeated the University of Missouri-Rolla, 3-1, at Town & Country Sports Complex.

Trout broke a scoreless tie with a goal at the 37:06 mark off an assist from Tricia Ruark on a corner kick. Johannigman and Noakes both added second-half goals as NKU built a 3-0 lead and coasted to the victory.

NKU improved to 13-2 with the win and snapped a two-game losing streak. The Norse are ranked No. 12 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll.
