HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Chris Robertson recorded victories at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles Thursday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University mens tennis team defeated Hanover (Ind.) College, 6-3. Robertson teamed with Jon Peters for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, and he later defeated Spencer Kilijian, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 2 singles. Ted Walkup, Tom Fontova, Shawn Barone and Peters also won their respective singles matches. NKU (3-6) will play Great Lakes Valley Conference matches at Lewis University and Saint Josephs College this weekend. NKU 6, HANOVER 3 Smith (HC) defeated Dapper, 6-1, 6-2; Robertson (NKU) defeated Kilijian, 6-2, 6-2; Walkup (NKU) defeated Allen, 6-2, 6-1; Fontova (NKU) defeated Bard, 6-2, 6-0; Barone (NKU) defeated Crisafulli, 6-0, 6-1; Peters (NKU) defeated Wolf, 6-3, 6-2; Robertson-Peters (NKU) defeated Smith-Kilijian, 8-4; Allen-Bard (HC) defeated Barone-Fontova, 8-3; Crisafulli-Wolf (HC) defeated Walkup-Moore, 9-7. |
