HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Nate Madden has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men’s soccer.
Madden, a senior goalie from Centerville, Ohio, posted two shutouts last week as NKU remained unbeaten. He recorded five saves during a scoreless tie against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday.
On Sunday, Madden notched his sixth shutout of the season during a 1-0 overtime victory against Saint Joseph’s College. He also blocked a potential winning shot by Justin Fox earlier in the overtime.
For the season, Madden owns a 0.13 goals against average and has led NKU to a 5-0-2 record.
NKU will play road matches at Quincy University and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville this weekend.
