ROLLA, Mo. - Jeff Anderson scored a pair of second-half goals Sunday as the Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer team defeated the University of Missouri-Rolla, 3-1.
Anderson’s first goal, which was assisted by Stephen Hahn, came at the 54:48 mark and snapped a 1-1 tie. He sealed the victory for NKU (2-1-1) seven minutes later with a goal off another assist from Hahn.
Ryan Coates gave UM-Rolla (2-1) a 1-0 lead 12 minutes into the match, but NKU’s Tony Becker answered with an unassisted goal to tie the match at 1-1. Goalie Nate Madden recorded six saves for the Norse, who kept UM-Rolla scoreless the final 77 minutes of the match.
NKU will travel to play Hillsdale (Mich.) College on Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
