ROLLA, Mo. - Nate McCall’s goal at the 64:33 mark Saturday snapped a 1-1 tie and gave the Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer team a 2-1 victory over Missouri Southern State College.
Jeff Anderson gave NKU (1-1-1) a 1-0 lead in the first half with a goal that was assisted by both Randy Walters and Tony Becker. Missouri Southern, however, tied the match at 1-1 with 10 minutes left in the first half on a Jeremy Brokate goal.
The match remained tied until the 64:33 mark, when McCall scored his first collegiate goal unassisted. NKU goalie Nate Madden recorded four saves.
NKU will meet the University of Missouri-Rolla at 4 p.m. Sunday.
