NKU TO MEET UWP IN GLVC TOURNAMENT

Norse enter GLVC Tournament with 7-11 record

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer team will travel to Kenosha, Wis., on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. (EST) match against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in the first round of the GLVC Tournament.

NKU (7-11) is the No. 5 seed in the GLVC, and Wisconsin-Parkside is the No. 4 seed. The winner will advance to the GLVC semifinals at Romeoville, Ill., to play top-seeded Lewis University on Nov. 4.

Earlier this season, Wisconsin-Parkside posted a 5-0 win against NKU at Kenosha, Wis. Ray James scored a pair of second-half goals to lead the Rangers. That match was scoreless at halftime, but Wisconsin-Parkside scored five goals in the second half to defeat the Norse.

NKU is led by sophomore Jeff Anderson, who has nine goals and six assists. Sophomore Mohamed Janah has eight goals and five assists, and junior Kevin Crone has six goals.
