Palomeque, McCall and Robertson score goals |

WILDER, Ky. - Joaquin Palomeque, Nate McCall and Jeremy Robertson all scored goals Sunday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University mens soccer team defeated Saint Josephs College, 3-1, at the Town & Country Sports Complex. NKU improved to 4-7-2 overall, 1-5-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Saint Josephs is 4-10 overall, 1-5 in the GLVC. Palomeque gave NKU a 1-0 lead at the 31:18 mark by sending an indirect kick past Saint Josephs goalie Matt Meier into the net. It was Palomeques second goal of the season. NKU upped its lead to 2-0 early in the second half when McCall took a pass from Kevin Morath and found the net. The Norse sealed the win at the 71:22 mark when Robertson scored his first goal of the season off an assist from Randy Walters. Saint Josephs scored its only goal at the 73:36 mark on a penalty kick by Paul Ryder. NKU will play at the University of Indianapolis at noon this Friday. |
