OAKLAND CITY, Ind. - David Lies scored a pair of first-half goals Friday as the Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer team defeated Oakland City University, 4-1.
Jeremy Robertson and Matt Flick also added goals for NKU, which snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 2-4. The Norse built a 3-0 halftime lead and coasted to the non-conference victory over Oakland City (0-6).
The Norse used a 29-5 advantage in shots Friday, and the lone Oakland City goal came as a result of a penalty kick after NKU held a 4-0 lead in the second half.
NKU will play host to the University of Indianapolis at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky.
