Krahe shoots 1-over-par 73 to lead Norse in season opener |

CAMBY, Ind. - The Northern Kentucky University mens golf team opened the season Tuesday at the University of Indianapolis Invitational, and the Norse finished third in the 16-team event with a score of 305. Mark Krahe shot a 1-over-par 73 and tied for seventh place to lead NKU at the Heartland Crossing Golf Course. The Norses Andrew Jewell, playing as an individual, also totaled 73 and tied for seventh. Norse golfer David Shearer posted an 11th-place finish with a score of 74, while teammate Jon Ehlen shot 77 to tie for 22nd place in the individual competition. Indianapolis won the team competition with a score of 297, one stroke better than runner-up Marian (Ind.) College. |
