NKU GOLFERS IN 2ND PLACE

Norse men shoot 303 in opening round of Fall Regional

COLDWATER, Mich. - The Northern Kentucky University men’s golf team is in second place after one round of the NCAA Great Lakes Fall Regional with a score of 303 (+15).

The University of Findlay totaled 298 (+10) during Sunday’s first round and is the leader after the opening day of play at the par-72 Blackberry Patch Golf Course. Findlay owns a five-stroke lead over NKU going into Monday’s final round of play.

NKU senior Brandon Parsons shot a 2-over-par 74 Sunday and is tied for seventh place after one round. Norse sophomore Jerod Cahill finished the opening round with a 3-over-par 75 and is tied for ninth place in the individual competition.
