EHLEN TIED FOR LEAD AT MURRAY STATE

Norse golfer enters final round in first place

MURRAY, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University men’s golfer Jon Ehlen is tied for first place after 36 holes of the Murray State University Invitational.

Ehlen shot rounds of 69-72 for a 141 total and is tied with Southern Illinois University’s Kyle Hosick for first place entering Tuesday’s final 18 holes. Murray State (572) has a one-shot lead after the first two rounds of the event, which is being played at the par-71 Frances E. Miller Memorial Golf Course.

NKU’s David Shearer is tied for 10th place after finishing with a two-round total of 144. Shearer shot 74-70 during the first 36 holes.

Two Ohio Valley Conference teams are right behind Murray State, as Morehead State University shot a single-round-best 281 in the second round to trail by one shot at 573, and Southeast Missouri State University - leading after the first round - is in third place at 578.

NKU is fourth at 581, followed by Southern Illinois at 587, University of Tennessee-Martin at 590, Murray State-Gold at 592, Tennessee-Martin-Blue at 611, Lewis University at 621 and Chicago State University at 633.
