NKU MEN TIED FOR FIFTH PLACE

Norse enter final round with two-day total of 617

BOLIVAR, Mo. - Brandon Parsons shot a 2-over-par 74 Tuesday as the Northern Kentucky University men’s golf team moved into a tie for fifth place at the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional, which is being hosted by Southwest Baptist University.

NKU now has a two-day total of 617 after shooting a round of 305 Tuesday at the par-72 Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club. NKU is tied with Bellarmine University (617) for fifth place in the team standings.

Parsons is tied for 15th place in the individual competition with a two-round total of 152. NKU’s Glenn Davidson finished with a 3-over-par 75 on Tuesday and is tied for 12th place in the individual competition.

Ferris State University is in first place in the team standings going into the final round with a score of 598, followed by second-place Lewis University at 604. The University of Findlay is in third place with a two-day score of 605.

The final round of the 54-hole tournament will take place Wednesday. The top two teams and the top two individuals not on those teams will advance to the national finals May 20-23 at Crosswater Club at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore.
