NKU senior golfer named to GCAA All-America Scholar Team |
|
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University mens golfer Brandon Parsons has been named to the 2004 Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Parsons, a senior and a native of Campbellsville, Ky., earned a spot on the NCAA Division II squad. To be eligible for Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically and competed in at least two full years at the collegiate level. The individual must also participate in 70 percent of his teams competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in Division II and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. A recipient must also be of high moral character and in good standing at his college or university. Parsons led NKU to the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region championship and a trip to the NCAA Division II national finals in May. He also was named All-Great Lakes Valley Conference this season and earned a Career Achievement Award from NKU for his success in the classroom and on the golf course. |
