NKU RECEIVES NCAA TOURNAMENT BERTH

Norse to compete at Bellingham, Mass.

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men’s golf team received a berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament Monday, and the Norse will compete at the North Regional in Bellingham, Mass., May 7-9.

NKU, which captured its first-ever Great Lakes Valley Conference championship during the fall, is making its second consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The Norse are led by junior Steve Landrum, who earned GLVC Player of the Year honors in the fall after winning the medal at the GLVC Championships.

NKU also features freshman Brandon Brown, who captured medalist honors at the NCAA II District IV Tournament last fall.

The NCAA II North Regional will be hosted by Bryant College and played at the New England Country Club.

District 2: Charleston (W.Va.), Indiana (Pa.), West Virginia Wesleyan, Millersville (Pa.), Glenville State (W.Va.), Concord (W.Va.).

District 4: Grand Valley State, Ferris State, Northern Kentucky, Indianapolis, Northwood, Wisconsin-Parkside, Findlay, Missouri-St. Louis, Saginaw Valley State, Ashland.
