NKU EARNS NCAA TOURNAMENT BERTH |

Norse to play Findlay at noon Friday |

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University mens basketball team received a berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament Monday and will play the University of Findlay at noon Friday in the opening round of the Great Lakes Regional at Houghton, Mich. NKU (25-5) is the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 seed Findlay (22-7) in the first game of the Great Lakes Regional, which is being hosted by top-seeded Michigan Tech University (28-2). NKU met Findlay in the season opener and posted a 70-62 win over the Oilers in the John L. Griffin/Lions Club Classic in Regents Hall. The NKU/Findlay winner will meet either No. 2 seed Kentucky Wesleyan College (26-3) or No. 7 seed Gannon (Pa.) University (20-9) at 5 p.m. Saturday. The championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. next Monday (March 17).
