NKU TO PLAY AT DISNEY CLASSIC

Norse open 2000-01 season in Florida

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men’s basketball team will begin its 2000-01 season at the Disney Division II Tip-Off Classic on Nov. 10 against Wayne (Neb.) State at 3:30 p.m.

The Disney Division II Tip-Off Classic will be held at Lake Buena Vista, Fla., at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. NKU finished 26-7 last season, while Wayne (Neb.) State posted a 26-6 record a year ago. Both teams advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Also participating in the Disney Division II Tip-Off Classic will be Southwest State (Minn.), Armstrong Atlantic, Rollins, Pittsburg State, Bentley (Mass.) and Saint Joseph’s.

The Disney Division II Tip-Off Classic will be played Nov. 10, 11 and 12.
