Sanders scores 18 points as Norse improve to 18-2 |

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Craig Sanders scored 18 points Saturday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University mens basketball team defeated the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 78-66, at the Mark Twain Building. Todd Clark added 17 points and six rebounds as NKU improved to 18-2 overall, 9-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Norse are ranked No. 3 nationally in the Division II poll. NKU is also No. 3 in the latest NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region ratings. Craig Conley recorded a double-double for NKU with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Brian Lawhon added 11 points. The Norse connected on 22 of 23 free throws and made 10 of 20 three-point attempts. NKU made eight three-point shots in the second half to pull away from Missouri-St. Louis, which dropped to 8-9 overall, 4-7 in the GLVC.
