Norse (13-2) shoot 72 percent from the field in the second half

 

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Junior guard Craig Conley scored 20 points Saturday afternoon as the Northern Kentucky University men’s basketball team defeated the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 92-61, in Regents Hall.

NKU shot 72 percent from the field during the second half to roll past the Rivermen. NKU led just 39-37 at halftime, but the Norse used a 30-11 run early in the second half to improve to 13-2 overall, 5-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Junior guard Brian Lawhon added 19 points for NKU, which connected on 13 of 21 three-point attempts. Billy Brewster (13 points), Adam Norwell (12 points) and Scott Marston (11 points) also scored in double figures for NKU.

NKU will play a road game at Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne on Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
