NKU BEATS INDY AT THE BUZZER, 68-66

Conley’s buzzer beater lifts NKU to the victory

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Junior guard Craig Conley scored on a layup as time expired Tuesday night to give the Northern Kentucky University men’s basketball team a 68-66 victory over the University of Indianapolis in Regents Hall.

With the score tied at 66-66 and less than 10 seconds remaining, Indianapolis’ Andy Foster had the ball stripped by NKU’s Kevin Listerman. The ball was passed downcourt to Conley, who scored on a layup as the buzzer sounded to give NKU the victory. Indianapolis had been holding the ball for a final shot in an attempt to win in regulation.

The Norse improved to 21-4 overall, 13-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. NKU is now 12-0 at home this season.

Listerman led NKU with 20 points, and Craig Sanders added 14 points. The Norse rallied from a seven-point deficit (58-51) in the final seven minutes to sweep the season series with Indianapolis (14-8, 10-6 GLVC).
